I don't recognize RE3 or even RE2 as a remake, RE2 is a perfect survival horror game and the design of the police station is close to realistic, but everything else is too different from the original, it's more like a reboot. Perhaps because there was too much time between the remakes compared to RE1, there is a contradiction if this remake is to be the standard for the series so far and in the future. The remake of RE1 is the only legitimate remake.

I played the remake before the original so i have a certain level of objectivity not affected by nostalgia. Those who say this ending is more epic than the remake.... Lol no, no its not. Its corny, the voice acting is really bad and the ending feels super rushed. With the remake, the nemesis fight was intense, the last standoff with nicolai was intense, the whole game was a heart pounding thrill ride. I know nostalgia is powerful. I know the original layed the groundworks. But saying its better, please😅😅😅😅😅

Just picked up a ps3 to play this game. Probably the best game I’ve ever played other than RE1 and 2. Wish all this made it into the remake

This version of an ending is way more powerful compared to the remake. I don't wanna bash the remake, just because it's in right now to hate on everything that's new, but in this version we saw the bomb literally *obliterate* the city. All the monuments, houses, bridges, cars and surviving civilians... gone. This scene broke my heart as a child

TBH remake removed Barry’s participation was the most disappointing point.

Both the original and the remake have their strengths and their flaws.

Original > REmake I'd say the same of RE2 remake
